to streamline recruitment, volunteer and staff training, policies and
procedures, retention and other aspects of a successful program.

New Ideas for Youth/Family Volunteer Programs
This
session will demonstrate how to create innovative and quality volunteer
programs for families, teens and youth as young as
3 years old. Engaging youth and families can provide museums with new
perspectives as well as help attract and sustain more
diverse audiences. The presenters in this session will share their ideas
for developing interesting volunteer opportunities as well as
guidelines and procedures to follow to retain this transient population.
