The AAMV annual meeting was held, April 27, 2006, during the AAM conference in Boston.

We were delighted to introduce two new board members who were voted into office by the AAMV membership:
Victoria Wilson, Assistant to the Director/Membership and Outreach Education at Bowdoin College Museum of Art in Brunswick,
Maine  has joined the board as Membership Director.
Kristi Cotner, Tour and Volunteer Assistant at the National Building Museum in Washington DC has joined the board as
                                  Director-at-Large.

Several serving board members have been elected to new positions:
Virginia (Gin) Wachter, Docent at the The Saint Louis Art Museum and current President of the National Docent Symposium
Council  has been elected as Vice President of AAMV.
Michael Kruelle, Director of Visitor Services at Hillwood Museum and Gardens has been elected as Treasurer.
Amy Farmer will serve as the new Program Director.
Connie Pirtle will serve another term as Publications Director, and Tim Deegan another term as Western Regional Director.

Leaving the Board after serving with distinction as Treasurer is Andy Peterson. We thank him for his careful stewardship, his
ideas, and his help.  Also leaving is Membership Director Liz Gumerman who has given exceptional service maintaining our membership
roster, encouraging new membership and running the AAMV ListServ.  We will miss the wise counsel of both these active board members.
Leaving the board also is Paula Meadows, but we are grateful that she will continue to serve on the committee for AAMV's new
   book on  museum volunteer management.
